Christmas 2007!

We enjoyed a beautiful, white Christmas in Olathe, KS this year! We arrived on Saturday, the 23rd on a snow covered runway at KCI airport after being delayed in Minnesota for a long time! It was good to land safely on the ground and see Jamie's Dad, Mom and sister Dawn right away! We attended College Church of the Nazarene on Sunday and saw a lot of friends and family we hadn't seen in a very long time.

We went back for the Christmas Eve candlelight service and then
went to Jamie's Aunt Bonnie's house to celebrate with the Ellis clan. We had a great dinner and a really fun gift exchange. We all drew numbers and had to pick gifts or steal from folks that had already opened. Randy had his gifts stolen about six times, but ended up with a gift certificate to the Pottery Barn. Jamie went last so she had the pick of the litter and grabbed a Bath and Body Works gift certificate. We had a great time and it was good to see most of the Ellis' including Grandpa Earl.It was also Jamie's sister Dawn's 22nd Birthday!
We also had a bit of a Christmas miracle when the package that had most of the Christmas gifts from us arrived on the door step Christmas Eve night. Way to go US Postal Service!! We were sweating a bit but it all worked out, we just had to stay up late to wrap all the gifts.
We woke up Christmas morning to white snow on the ground and plenty of gifts under the tree. We had breakfast and exchanged gifts before getting ready to go to Jamie's Aunt Susie's house for dinner and more gift exchanging. We had a great lunch and so much fun play Wii and singing Karaoke. We spent much of the day there and had so much fun visiting with the Stansbury's and Fraley's. Grandma Marge was really sick but was a trooper and stuck it out.

We are enjoying being off work, being with family as well as seeing Kansas City at Christmas time! It was a great and memorable Christmas!!

Christmas or Hanukkah?

Well its not 8 "Crazy Nights" but we have had a lot Christmas Celebrations and more to come! We celebrated Christmas with Randy's parents on Thursday night and had a great time. We ate a phenomenal candlelight steak dinner. It was a little weird & somewhat ironic to have grilled out! It was weird because it was December 20th and it should be too cold to grill! It was ironic because Mom and Dad Scott came through with a big Christmas surprise: A Grill!

We celebrated Christmas this morning together and enjoyed each other's company until Jamie had to work. Jamie cooked breakfast and Randy did the dishes. Jamie got a day of pampering at a spa and a new, cozy bath robe! Randy received a new wallet (long overdue!) and some new jeans! We had a wonderful time but it was a little strange having it so early! Randy made sure to make it feel like Christmas morning, playing Q105, your holiday music station and popping in A Christmas Story and put it on loop just like TNT does every Christmas.

We had no problem celebrating early because we are heading to Kansas City for the Holiday's! We both are excited to go back (especially Jamie) and see all of our family and friends. Randy hasn't been back since Thanksgiving of 2006. So a night of packing is in store, Merry Christmas!!

The Christmas card that was never sent!

The Hello!

Hey guys and gals, we are in the early stages of creating our own blog! We plan on keeping family and friends up to date on what is happening in our lives since they are all over the country/world and we want to keep in touch with everyone!!

Jamie and Randy were married on September 2, 2005 in Olathe, KS and currently live in Salisbury, Md. We purchased our first home just after our first anniversary and we have made it just right for us(including a Yankee room for Randy!)

Jamie stays busy with two, sometimes three jobs! She is the office manager and secretary for Atlantic-Bay Homes by day and works at Macy's part time. She also was 9-1-2 as a JV Girls soccer coach at James M. Bennett High School(that is where Randy went!). She misses Kansas but has settled in her new home in the Free State.

Randy is pretty busy as well working at Clear Channel Radio year round and has been the Play-By-Play Broadcaster for the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Class 'A' Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, for the past three seasons. Randy is a member of "The Mike and April Show" weekday mornings on Froggy 99.9, a country station in Salisbury, Md. He also is on a few other stations and produces various commercials and shows.

Well those are the basics and we will soon be updating with pictures and other info! Merry Christmas(This is much cheaper than sending a Christmas card!)!
