Heat Wave!

Wow, it certainly has been hot the last few days!!! Saturday was no exception, we attended an outdoor wedding on one of the hotest days of the year! Our friends and Randy's co-workers Bill and Kristen tied the knot on Saturday, 06/07/08(Easy for the groom to remember!), and Randy was a groomsman.Randy had to wear a pink tie which had been the topic of a great debate! The Wedding was at 4:30 and the sun was beaming down in the faces of all who were in the ceremony. It was a beautiul wedding in a great setting, Baywood Green Golf Course in Long Neck, DE(about six miles from Rehobeth Beach). We had a lot of fun with friends and enjoyed the air condition in the Reception hall! Sherman the Shorebird even made and appearence(long story)! Here are some picks from the day:

Our Baseball Trip and Demo

Our last few weeks summarized:

On Memorial weekend we went on a 'Baseball' trip and enjoyed a Nationals game and the next day we enjoyed an Orioles game, both teams won. We weren't too happy the Yanks lost, though! Our friends Evan, Kendra and their son Elias joined us. We also enjoyed the great food we don’t get on the Eastern Shore like P.F Chang’s and Chipotle. The weather that weekend was great, but got a little sweaty at times, so we walked around the stadium, it was Jamie’s first time at Camden Yards (Orioles) and both our first time at National’s Park, it was just built. The Nationals Park was very impressive, it had the huge flat screen behind CF and flat screens on the walls of the outfield, and TV’s at every section, so you wouldn’t miss a play. Camden Yards had a great park too; they had a lot of standing areas and picnic tables so we could get some shade. The trip was great and we enjoyed going with our friends and are thankful for a smooth trip. On Memorial Day the Orioles honored the many service men and women who sacrifice their lives for our country. It was a neat tribute to the soldiers and their families, we can’t thank them enough.

After we got home from our trip we got to rest a little and get ready for the demolition we were about to do on our bathroom the next day. Randy and his dad tore everything out, to the frames. We are going to install a new bathtub, vanity, water heater, new pbp? pipes, light fixtures and tile floors. It is a major remodel for us (Steve) and we are very excited to see it all come together. Steve has done most the work and Randy is trying to learn, (when he doesn’t have baseball games to call) so hopefully they can have patience with each other. So far no one has gotten hurt, well except when Randy sacrificed his toe to save the corner toilet from breaking! We will post pictures as soon as we can, we are staying at Randy’s parent’s house, since we only have one bathroom and the water is turned off. We have enjoyed our time with them and always enjoy the meals they give us, but we don’t want to over stay our welcome, so we told them not to cater to us, which Randy disagreed and always gets spoiled by his parents anyway. Randy talked about the experience on his radio show and said he felt funny going home to the house he grew up in and then sleeping with me, while his parents are in the next room. We hope to get the electric, drywall, and tub installed by the weekend; you can keep Steve in your prayers, he has been exhausted every night, so hopefully things will progress faster.

We also Celebrated Randy’s Birthday with some friends and family. It was a great time and thanks to all who made it special for Randy.

Randy got a hammock from his parents for her birthday and I got him tickets to Yankees stadium (its the last year they play in the ball park)!

The disfigured beams in the wall, they were pretty much free floating.

Our house is really old and we weren't sure why the boards were in all different directions.

The old tub and old water heater, they were heavy!

Randy waiting for the tickets, this was quite a hassle, SWEET!

They won on a wild pitch!
We took the Nats Express motor coach to the ball park, it was very convenient
